Disabuse
Information:
Disabuse ist eine Thrash/Crossover-Metal-Band, die ihren Ursprung in Winterswijk in den Niederlanden hat.
Die Band kombiniert Hardcore-Punk und Metal auf eine rohe und aggressive Art und Weise.
1989 veröffentlichten Disabuse ihre erste und fabelhafte EP "Sorrow and Perdition" in Eigenregie.
Sie enthielt sechs Aufnahmen. Die ersten 2000 Stück waren innerhalb weniger Monate ausverkauft. Die EP wurde als "Album der Woche" in einer der beliebtesten Radioshows Hollands angekündigt: "Vara's Vuurwerk".
Nach vielen, vielen Auftritten beschlossen sie, eine Pause einzulegen.
After a few changes in the band line-up, they decided to start up again in 1995. During this time, they recorded the demo cassette “Existence”. In February 1997, the debut CD was pressed in an edition of 1000 copies. One song was released on the compilation album “Hollandse Herrie 1”.
Record deal
In 1998 Disabuse signed a record deal with the Belgian label I Scream Records to release their album “Personal Path”. The album was recorded in the†Dutch Beaufort Studio†by producer Han Swagerman, the album received great reviews in, among others,†Aardschok,†Core†en†Oor†(3 important Dutch music magazines). In 1999 the song “Dagaz” was released on the†I Scream†compilation album “5 Years of Blood, Sweat and Tears”. They played gigs with†Sick of It All,†Peter Pan Speedrock†and many others. 2 of their video clips were featured in the
In February 2002, Disabuse recorded the album “Down in Disgrace” at Excess Studio in Rotterdam. They finished the recordings with a show with Biohazard and Backfire. In May 2002, “Down in Disgrace” was self-released. One of the songs was released on the compilation album “Upmagazine”.†In 2004 they decided to call it quits again, our last show was at Elbekurkie in Meddo, near their hometown.
Reunion
In 2009 they felt like a reunion,† which took place on January 17th at the “Eucalypta” in Winterswijk, on August 29th Disabused played at the Elsock in Rijssen.
At this point, they decided to only play together from time to time. With regard to their private lives, wives, children, careers.... They had no fixed plans. The recordings made during the reunion concert in Winterswijk were released on our CD “Echoes of a Lifetime”.
In 2010, Disabused performed at the “Geldersch Metal Treffen” (with God Dethroned, Severe Torture and Heidevolk, among others) and at “Headbanging Enschede” (with Master, Izegrim and Asphyx). In 2011, they played at the legendary “Zwarte Cross” festival in Lichtenvoorde with Anthrax, Annihilator, Death Angel and Sepultura.
2015: We`re back!
The original members of Disabuse from 1987 decided to play again, rented a rehearsal room and started making noise again. This led to them having so much fun that they decided to record some of their first songs.
Dies führte zur Veröffentlichung der CD "Remains" im Jahr 2015.
Zusammen mit ihren ersten Fans feierten Disabused die Veröffentlichung mit einem Auftritt auf dem "Achterhoeks Metalfest" in Eibergen.
Im Dezember 2015 spielten sie beim "Eindhoven Metal Meeting" mit u.a. Distillator und Nuclear Assault.
Arch and Wouter are no longer members of Disabuse, but they have the eternal respect of the band. Together they had many ups and downs, but most of all they had such a good time and so many laughs that they were happy to have them as band members and still as friends.
